Eskimos

This morning we woke up to a blanket of snow covering the ground. It was pretty but knowing I had to get out in it, I wasn't exactly thrilled. I had no choice but to go in this morning as the hospital never closes. Gregg decided to go in a little late, as his car is extremely low to the ground and they had not plowed our neighborhood yet. All of the schools in St. Louis/Charles were out today but Sam's daycare was still open (his daycare has not been closed once since we started- they are hardcore).

Gregg decided to ask a few of the neighborhood kids to keep an eye on Sam so he could get a few things done from home. His plan was to work from home until they plowed our street. By midmorning he was ready to go into work but the neighborhood kids didn't want to give Sam up. So Sam ended up staying at the neighbors house all day. He had a blast!

Here is what I see when I pull into the end of our court. Apparently, someone in the neighborhood had used their Catepillar to plow all of the extra snow into a huge pile right in the middle of the court. The kids thought it was fantastic.

Isn't he smart?

All of the sudden last week Sam joined me through most of the ABC song from the backseat of the car. Sorry about my voice as I prompt him in a few places. As my parents told me over the weekend: "we were never like the parents of the horrible singers on American Idol are, we never told you that you were a good singer."

You will notice he is a little distracted by something behind me. I had to play Sesame Street on TV in order for me to get him to stay in one position long enough to capture this video.

Dr. Sam

Sam got a medical kit (kids version of course) for Christmas. Over the weekend he was doing his usual check ups on us- checking our ears, hearts, etc. He decided we all needed shots so he made sure to put on these glasses prior to administering the shots- guess he has his Mommy's eyes.

Swedish visitor, birthdays, a baptism, and a move....whew!

Here is a quick catch up on the last few weeks:

Aunt Angie's Surprise 50th birthday Party
Yes, she was surprised but she can't get enough of that Grandbaby of hers (she can't even take her eyes off of Logan for the picture:). The party was at the shop (many of you are familar with the location from the infamous Critter feeds). Notice how filthy everyone is in the picture- smart move by me to wear a white sweatshirt!

Sam got to play with Molly and the Boedecker twins- they had a blast at the party.

My Dad's friend, Peter, even came in from Sweden for the birthday bash. Peter is a friend my Dad met in college. He was a foreign exchange student who came to Mizzou and stayed in Farmhouse while he was there. My Dad and him became very good buddies while he was at Mizzou. Just recently they reconnected and Peter came to visit my parents in Marshall while he was in the States for work. It was fun meeting him. He took so many pictures that night- I don't think he could believe the whole scenario. He kept showing me pictures of me and my filthy sweatshirt and saying he was going to take it back and tell his kids/friends that was how we dressed here in Missouri. I am sure they will be so impressed!

Baby Logan's Baptism.
The day after the birthday party was my cousin's little girls baptism. Sam and Molly
are very good at keeping Logan entertained.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of this past weekend. My sister Suzy and her fiance, Clayton moved into their 1st house yesterday. It is such a cute and nice first home- we are so happy for them. I was sick again! I felt bad for not helping much but the rest of the Gauldin moving crew did sweep in and get the happy couple moved in, in a snap. Despite my illness I did have a great weekend as my parents, my brother Wade, and sister in law Ashley were all in for the occasion. Sam made my birthday by coming in first thing in the morning singing, Happy Birthday to you....so cute, I need to get it on video.
Sam got bundled up today to play in the snow.

No way!

I know I am actually putting up a post- amazing. I don't even have pictures to share this time, but will upload some tomorrow b/c I am off!!!
Just a short little story. The other night I asked Sam to go in and sit with Daddy (I was trying to get a few things done but being unsuccessful as Sam was right at my heels the entire time). Sam's answer to my request was.... "No way!" Not just "no" but "no way". I don't think that is a term we use a lot around here (until now)- we will just have to blame it on daycare again.
He definitely keeps us laughing.

Its all fun and games at Grandma and Grandpa's

I am really late on getting more Christmas pictures posted- oops! The last few weeks I have been working full time and I guess I am not used to it. I have been so tired when I get home. It probably wasn't great timing to pick all of these extra days during the holidays but a little extra cash to pay off Christmas will be nice.

Anyway, here are some pics from the Gauldin Family Christmas. As you can see, Sam is the only kid in the family right now, everyone in my family will do anything he asks them too. This day Sam insisted we all pretend to be presents and get into this very oversized gift bag.
